As a team, Embrace Talent Development's goal is to guide employees throughout each phase of their careers as they transform into the best possible versions of themselves. Jared Maxwell, Direct Sales Division Leader, understands the value of participating in Talent Development's supplemental enrichment programs as key to that transformation process. Maxwell shared a New York Magazine article by Drake Baer entitled "Living With Purpose Yields a Longer Life and Higher Income" to illustrate his point. According to Baer, research proves employees across all industries enjoy significant career and personal growth when deeper meaning and purpose in their daily lives drives them.
Based on the results of two longitudinal studies, evidence suggests there is a direct correlation between longevity and purpose. Those individuals who identified themselves as leading purposeful lives at various points throughout the study tended to outlive their "directionless" peers (Baer).
Further data indicates that workers who found purpose in their daily work lives typically enjoyed higher incomes and greater overall net worth throughout the study's time period, from about 1995 to 2004. The authors note that "... since purpose is linked with greater engagement in day-to-day life, its role in financial success 'may result from the greater capability and propensity for purposeful individuals to pursue their long-term goals, which in turn promotes the accrual of assets.' Put another way: Purpose is at the intersection of hope and grit" (Baer).

Director of Talent Development, Julie Chipman, encourages those employees seeking to engage in meaningful, fulfilling work each day to enroll in one of the department's popular Purpose Discovery Workshops. Designed to aid employees in their pursuit of success, Purpose Discovery Workshops provide an opportunity for employees to discover their unique values, identify their life purpose, and find ways to take the next steps toward a more fulfilling life and career.
The Talent Development team is confident that all employees who participate in a Purpose Discovery Workshop will find every aspect of their work to be significantly more fulfilling upon completion. Our mission is to develop employees as whole individuals, not just cogs in a machine. Indirectly, our efforts play a vital role in creating the ideal consumer experience, and that's what it's all about for the Embrace family! For individuals who have participated in these programs already, the impact is clear: they are more empowered than ever to enter their communities and conduct business that is both values-based and technically efficient.
